Dear Vallivue Families,

Soft School Closure for Remainder of School Year

On April 14, 2020, the Vallivue School District Trustees approved extending the current soft closure through May 22nd, 2020, the end of the 2019-2020 academic school year. Distance Learning opportunities and Grab-and-Go Meal Services will continue throughout the academic school year. Elementary schools will continue packet distributions on Monday. Secondary schools will continue distributing packets on Wednesdays for students who have requested them. Keep an eye out for emails from your school for details.

Summer School

Summer school will be online this year starting June 1st and ending on July 10th.

Middle school students will have until May 5th to submit late work prior to March 17th in order to improve grades. After May 5th, middle school counselors will begin reaching out to families needing summer school to promote to the next grade level. Students, please take advantage of this time to communicate with your teachers and bring your grades up.

High School students needing credit recovery must complete and submit this Summer School Survey. It is very short and easy to submit. Once you submit the survey, your counselor will sign you up for summer school.

Updated Wifi Access

We are now offering wifi access for both Vallivue Devices and personal devices at every school parking lot. Visit this document for details for signal strength at each location. Input the following access information for connectivity for personal devices:

Wireless Name: VSD-HotSpot

Password: homework

Vallivue devices will connect automatically to the parking lot WiFi so there is no need to connect to an access point and provide a password.

Student Supplies

With the official decision made to keep schools closed, the district is working on safety protocols and logistics with health officials to return student belongings to families. We will be in touch with a plan soon.

Graduation Plans

Vallivue School District is continuing to work out ceremony opportunities for our 2020 graduating class. We will send updates shortly.
