Boys Basketball Tryouts and Dance Start on Wednesday January 6th at 4:00PM after school.

8th A -Team everyday before school M-F 6:30 - 8:00 am M-F (excluding game day)

8th B -Team everyday after school M-F 3:45 - 5:15 PM (excluding game day).

7th A- Team everyday before school M-F 6:30 - 8:00 am M-F (excluding game day)

7th B-Team everyday after school M-F 3:45 - 5:15 PM (excluding game day).

Everyday after school M-F 3:45 - 5:30 PM (excluding match day).

Week #1 October 5th - 9th Practice at VMS wrestling room

Week #2 and beyond - Wrestlers will be bused after school to Vallivue High School

wrestlers will need to be picked up at VHS after practice at 5:30PM.

All participants must have a completed physical form (Hard Copy on file) and have completed the online registration in order to start practice and or tryout for the upcoming seasons. If the online registration and paperwork is not filled out your child will be watching from the sideline.

The activity fee of $30 per year must be paid to the bookkeeper or online through Infinite Campus: pay online through Infinite Campus before the first game of the season. Having a sports physical on file will last all 3 years at VMS.

*The middle schools have instituted a cut policy for volleyball, basketball, and tennis.

Requirements to Participate in Extracurricular Activities

Requirements to play:

1. Activity & Athletic Eligibility Checklist must be completely filled out and signed by both the athlete and parents/guardians. This needs to be completed online. (VMS Online Activities Registration - Above). If you don't have a cumulative 2.0 GPA you aren't eligible to play or tryout.

2. Health Examination (sports physical) must be on file (Hard Copy) before the athletes are allowed to compete in practice or competition. This needs to be turned in before the 1st day of practice and given to the activities director or main office for practice clearance.

3. The online Consent Form needs to be filled out for each sport your student participates in. (All Seasons they plan on competing or participating in)

4. Interim Questionnaire / Emergency Contact handed back in to the Head Coach once the coach sends it home with your athlete. We update this every sports season as jobs and insurance carriers are always changing throughout the year.

5. $30.00 Sports Fee must be paid prior to the 1st game/match/meet to be eligible to compete. This fee must be paid to the school bookkeeper or pay online using the Infinite Campus portal. DO NOT give a check or cash to the coach.

Parent Meeting: Each team will have a required parent meeting at the end of week one, or the beginning of week two. The coaches will make the location, date, and time known when the season begins or send an informational email to you as a parent with more information.
